NIBA
NIBA is widely recognised as one of the most effective trade associations operating in the financial services sector. As the peak professional body for insurance intermediaries, NIBA represents insurance brokerages, authorised representatives and underwriting agencies and wholesale brokerages licensed to operate in the life and general insurance sectors.
Currently there are around 500 NIBA member firms operating from around 780 locations nationwide. Members benefit from access to lobbying, marketing, education, technical and information services and regularly participate in industry discussions and research activities. NIBA member firms actively help promote and pursue the NIBA mission in all parts of the insurance and risk community and provide energy, support, ideas and inspiration to the association.
Brokers who are members of NIBA must abide by a Code of Conduct and have access to an external disputes handling authority.
