Webbcona Gold Juniors
The Wendouree Bowling Club in northern Victoria can lay claim to producing some fine bowlers. Australian Open singles winner and World Champion of Champions singles title holder Brett Wilkie started his bowls career at Webbcona and now a young local is carving out his own piece of history. Seventeen year old Ben McArthur won back to back gold medals at the Australian Junior Championships, taking out the fours to add to his pairs gold from 2008. Ben has been playing bowls for 5 years and aims to make the under-25 squad with plenty of practice and determination.
